see how washington is on the northern fringe of the storm system. how this will set up is with the sleet hitting north carolina here. it will be right here above the sleet snow line where we will get most of the snow. for us it is about the arctic front coming through the next couple of hours and behind that really cold air. you will notice the winds picking up in the northwest ten to 25 miles an hour. gusts even higher than that. here's the chance of the snowfall beginning saturday midday. showing washington, a little light snow. most of it will start to fall south. some of the southern metro zones is where i think some accumulation will set up. if you are north, montgomery, carroll county, frederick county, maryland not much of anything at all. if you see a flake you will be lucky if that happens. this is one particular forecast of how much snow will fall. not the official forecast or the final forecast but one outlook. three to four inches of snow by the time we get to 7:00 but a wider view shows what will set up south of here. 15 inches of snow
